We gotta little showcase of sorts this weekend at the Bowery Ballroom featuring sets from Wild Nothing, Blank Dogs, Cosmetics and Minks. For all those lucky enough to attend we've put together a special FREE release. It's CT-78: a tape and CD-R, both containing the same tracks, all of which are 100% exclusive to this release. It will not be available digital. Only 100 are being made, all numbered. First 100 people to the merch table get one. Limit one per ticketholder.

Our Mid-Summer batch features some C/T mainstays and alumni, all 7"s. You get the second 7"s by Cosmetics, Minks and Soft Moon, as well as the 3rd C/T release by Hanoi Janes, the "Specks Ho!" 5-song EP. Go to our releases page to order and all this stuff.

We're super happy to make Tim Cohen's (Fresh & Onlys frontman) "Laugh Tracks" now available on the vinyl and digital formats. As you know, Tim is a songwriting machine hard to keep up with. But it's not his fault, especially when he's releasing material as great as this on a consistent basis. For those of you who picked up "Two Sides of Tim Cohen" LP last year, this is the next logical step in his already great track record. That's it for Captured Tracks material, but we're lucky enough to help spread the word on the latest and greatest from our friends at Wierd. Automelodi and Frank (Just Frank)'s debut LP's are out and if you've been paying attention to the world of Wierd or ordered Xeno & Oaklander and Led Er Est from us last time, you know what it's all about and the quality release your in for. Finally, we're beyond excited to carry The Jameses debut 7" and help this great band get their record to the people who need to hear it. Go to our releases page to order and all this stuff.

Pre-order Ltd. Ed. clear vinyl editions of BEACH FOSSILS and WILD NOTHING debut LP's!

These will be on clear vinyl with silkscreen sleeves, all numbered. We have a VERY limited supply of these. Once we run out, that's all we can sell. If you miss out, there are fixed amounts going to Other Music and Co-OP 87 in NYC, Escalator in Japan, Amoeba in San Francisco, Rough Trade in the UK, Insound an of course, available from the bands at their shows. These stores will NOT be able to reorder these editions and none are getting very many.

Our online order is fixed to stop selling once the label copies are gone, (NOW SOLD OUT) but the regular black vinyl will be available on May 25th at a lower price than these editions from us and independent record stores and mailorders worldwide.

We are only selling these together in tandem, and we're shipping them at the same time. If you only want one or the other, your best bet is to buy direct from the band at a show. Feel free to order from the rest of our catalog, but note: your order will not ship until we have these in stock. If you want other records without waiting a few weeks, feel free to order those separately.

We hope to ship these before the official May 25 release date, but we can't guarantee that.

We've got some exciting news to announce which involves 3 Captured Tracks artists hitting the road (together, even), 2 great new Captured Tracks releases and 1 amazing Matt Volz-designed poster to support it all! In just a few short weeks, The Beets, Christmas Island and Beach Fossils will be running around the Northeast spreading the CT word and we've got brand new 7"s timed for their depature!! If you're city is one of the lucky ones on the tour path, all the info you need can be found below. If you're not fortunate enough to catch one of these shows you'll still be able to pick up the releases here at capturedtracks.com (check back soon!). In addittion to the new releases and after being unavailable for 3 months, the Beets LP will finally be back in print with a new full color insert !!
