Cosmetics are a duo from Montreal, Quebec. Their music is made for dancing, and with feeling and attention to the details. They formed in summer 2008, and in 2009 put together the TUFF TRAX home studio. Using simple rhythm, analog synthesizers and voice, they spend every night very slowly making tracks. It is electronic music played by hand… ice cold with human emotion.

Their debut 7” Soft Skin was released by Brooklyn label Captured Tracks in January 2010. After a spring tour with Blank Dogs they released a second 7” Sleepwalking in summer 2010. More singles and their debut LP, Heartbeat, will follow in Spring 2012.
