Leeds-based art-punk experimentalists Drahla share their new album ‘angeltape,’ a sonic journey through five years of transformation, grief, and artistic renewal.
This record is a fiery and dynamic display of the band’s inventive composition, featuring dissonant guitar and bass riffs, angular drum patterns, and screeching saxophone that provide a foundation for lead singer Luciel Brown’s artful spoken word.
“I think the process and inspiration for this album has been way more experimental and insular than taking on any external musical references,” says Luciel, “This record feels like it was built on a foundation of insular inspiration.”
