Reptaliens Share “29 Palms” Video Ahead of Tour with Of Montreal

Experimental Portland duo Reptaliens unveil their new video for “29 Palms” – a collaborative piece by artist couple Abby Gregg and Taber Lathrop. Through the use of stop motion, hand painted film and found footage, Abby Gregg’s painterly style of animation translates musical themes of “29 Palms” into intimate textures, immersive atmospheres and abstract landscapes with an emphasis on desert and oceanic environments. With the visual content compiled, Taber Lathrop connects the song’s whimsical, psychedelic and personal themes to the abstract, emotional and textural landscapes.
